About the Course
Becoming a Disciple-Making Church is a course designed to assist pastors, church planters, staff members, small group leaders, and others in various leadership roles (i.e., for youth, children, etc.) to navigate contemporary approaches to church growth. In doing so, it challenges culturized concepts of church success and advocates replacing them with prioritizing discipleship that incorporates spiritual formation. After a brief survey of current church movements, the course provides biblically-based suggestions for implementation of healthy strategies for ministers and churches that will lead to healthy church growth. The theological underpinnings for this course were established in Jesus’s Strategy for a Disciple-Making Church (MN 329), though that course is not a prerequisite for MN 330.
