About the Course
The Old Testament makes up over 75 percent of the entire Bible. Only half of Daniel and some sections in Ezra are not written in Hebrew. It is a rich language with a very ancient history.
Dr. Courter’s many years of studying and reading the Bible in the biblical languages and checking Bible translations in various languages with the original-language texts has helped him to discover many insights and gain understanding of the biblical text. He looks forward to teaching students about the Hebrew language and how many aspects of its form and structure lead to insights that are not noticed by those who don’t know Hebrew. Students will also learn how to better use Bible study tools to search out and enhance their understanding of words and concepts in Old Testament passages and discover meaning for themselves.
