About the Course

Spanish is a language of great importance in our world. There are 20 sovereign nations and one dependent territory where it is estimated 442 million people live. In the USA there are over 40 million people whose first language is Spanish.

This class is being uniquely designed for students who not only would like to learn to speak Spanish but also have the desire to participate in outreaches within the immediate community, as well as church mission trips to Mexico. The focus will be on learning basic Spanish and how to share one’s faith and testimony.

This second course will include a brief review of the Fall 2023 class lessons and then continue in the workbook: Basic Spanish by Dorothy Richmond.

Each class will include:

Discussion of each lesson and practice using the vocabulary and important common verbs in conversation.

Learning Bible verses and songs (many we sing in church) to build vocabulary necessary for sharing the gospel and talking about faith.

An introduction to using the past tense verb forms.

The teachers thoroughly enjoyed the Fall class and student participation.  We hope to have the pleasure of spending another trimester with students desiring to learn and/or improve in their ability to understand and communicate in Spanish.
